Once the legendary Hot Dot sets her mind to something, it's destined to become reality. Hot Dot Draught was no exception, beginning as a small-batch operation run entirely by herself. Before long, she expanded the lineup with the Angie!-Ker!-Shar! series—three lively new releases, each bringing its own character to the brewery. The arrival of the third and smallest pint completed the family lineup.

As the brewery matured, so did its uniforms, branding and image. The transition from bouffant to business reflected a more practical, streamlined operation, most evident in the team's adoption of the Shixie (you got it, the Pixie/shag combo). After all, who needs a hair net when you've got a Burton's Beauty Bowl 'do delivered with military precision?!

By the early 1970s, a satellite office had opened, and countless hoppy days were spent at the Long Point cottage industry, where family memories were carefully fermented, barrel-aged, and bottled for future enjoyment. Behind the scenes, senior management—Mad-Nan-Doe—devoted countless hours to critical market research at the Rod and Gun. Through tireless product sampling and unwavering dedication to quality control, they bravely tested draft after draft in the name of science and competitive positioning.

Over the years, the original lineup branched out and launched labels of their own, proving that the Hot Dot brand came from excellent stock. As Hot Dot frequently says, “It’s in the genes.” To this day, one product remains my finest craft creation and first draft: the one and only Drew-Brew.

Under Construction

Ever since I was a little 'Steam Whistle', during my fermentation process, I was taught by HotDot (Mom) to be a Lady! There were certain rules us 3 little 'Stubbies' learned to live by: "Never smoke while walking on the street!". "Always treat others the way you yourself wish to be treated!". And, to NEVER ask what a word meant, "Look it up!" she'd say! Those are words I live by to this day!
Once I was done 'Home Brewing' & became an 'Export', no 'spice', just 'hops'! I broke the 'keg' & found the more 'Aged' I got, the more 'Stout' I became! I spread my wings and 'Mashed out' on my own, got a couple buns in the 'kiln' & started my OWN 'microbrewery' and their names are Chantel & Jacob, the 'barley' & 'malt' to my 'Lager'! They too have fully 'Aged' are carrying on our 'Barrel' legacy, infusing their own 'flavour' to our 'Brand' & are now introducing their own 'label' to beer enthusiasts globally!
